`Trip To Japan [Part 1]

Part 1 - The Courses
28 - 29. May. 2007 [Monday & Tuesday]

We [Me and My Dad] arrived at 1:45 p.m. when the course starts only at 3 p.m...how punctual...So since we had all the time to ourselves, my dad brought me around klia, went see some weird buildings and after turning countless rounds around the airport area, we only manage to 'use' 15 minutes...without any other choice, since we've already had a good yummy lunch with xb and ger, we went straight to concorde inn hotel. Fortunately my catholic friends were early and we had a great talks, teens among teens and parents among parents, worrying about their teens >.<". However my dad was different, he just sat quietly next to me, checking through everything making sure i had everything with me, he MADE a CHECK LIST! [in his brains -.-"] My dad memory is much better than mine...unfortunately said. Mwah's mom was super cute, she went running around with mwah to make sure everything was with her, that's so sweet ^^.
Then the thing started off with taklimats for parents...which was way boring. My dad was too bored that he went off reading some information paper each participants were given. Something about what to and what not to do in japan, the paper even teaches u how to use the toilet ^.^"" gosh. My dad pointed to the toilet bowl at me n went like, "You better read all these!!"
Also from the taklimat, I got to know that our Nagoya group was the luckiest since our group consist students only from 4 different school, 10 from Catholic, 12 from USJ 12, 7 from Subang Utama and 1 from Sekolah Agama Kota Bahru. And we had 3 senseis [teachers], one is our infamous Pn Lim Peck Choo from Catholic, another is Pn Ng, a japanese teacher and the last is Kairul sensei, a weird coordinator. After more and more talks, the whole taklimat finally finished and all our parents went off, leaving mwah's mom and renlord's mom, they're really very caring of their kids and that's one thing I respect them for. My dad had to rush off for a meeting, so sad and my mom was in JAKARTA!!! lol, tho i know they still love me.

And then there was the whole dance thing. Yes believe me, even in Japan I wasn't given a time off from dancing. The 10 participants from Catholic High were to perform a cultural dance performance and boy my indian dance costume, which i hate as much as i love it, took up half of my bag!!!!! I took 3 days just to pack and rearrange everything so I won't have to carry so many bags.
Indian Dance Costume:
The love factor : It's pretty and looks very complicated, not boasting but it sure is nicer than the malay and chinese costumes in the dance performance.
The hate factor : It's so complicated that even packing it, wearing it and taking it off = TROUBLE!

And the worse thing was we had to practice right in front of all the other 20 participants during the whole course thing, since we had no time to practice it in Japan. We're performing once we reach the office in Nagoya anyway, which is 45 minutes right after we leave Nagoya airport...so...yeah...we can't be dancing on the plane >.<''. Just for preparation, we even had to perform once to the other participants during the first night of the course to ensure we're really prepared. But all the hardwork was worthwhile, we got a laugh about the chinese dance and indian dance, especially the chinese flower thing and huey li getting all fed up and crazy because of it. It was a great show to watch.

Guess what, we had this, not-so-handsome-katak as our supervisor. He's cute according to what some other girls in the group says, but i say not...why we call him katak? Cause his name is Kairul, which in japan Kairu means frog, so he made us call him Kairuru-sensei -.-". But we still went on calling him Kairul, it's much easier, and he didn't even bother xP. He's very much a poser, taking all our money and posing for pics, taking as it were all his own.

The course was okay, Catholic High Students were the most active one, especially Huey Li and Kah Lok. Even Puan Lim was shock when all our lil' devil sides were shown on the very first NIGHT! Haha, but it was all for laughs, we were able to control at least. The rest from other schools were super quiet on the first few days...

And guess what, I was appointed to be the SECRETARY by MUNWAH!!! AHHHHH! Thank you so much now I've got two reports to write despite exams are NEAR! But Mun Wah got the post as the head. Well at least she had Lilly helping her...eeesh!

Committee of Nagoya Group:
